As a homeowner, you want to be thinking about different things you can do around your yard that helps to make it a place your family can get even more enjoyment out of. Have a basketball court put in
If you have children who love to play basketball, then you may want to cater to this interest by having their very own basketball court put in. Some families use their driveway as the court and install a hoop to the eave above the garage door. However, if this wont work in your situation, then you can find an area in your yard where you feel the court would fit nicely and have concrete poured to create the court, then have a basketball pole and hoop installed. If you have kids who like to spend a lot of their free time skating, playing jacks, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and doing other activities such as these, then you may want to have an area of your yard turned into a nice concrete area where they can do all of these things. You can put the concrete slab in an area that is right where you want it, so it doesn't interfere with the rest of your landscape design and where you can keep an eye on the kids if they are younger.

If you like the idea of having a fish pond put in your yard, then you should do it. A pond can be a fantastic looking addition to a yard, and you can get a lot of enjoyment out of it by watching the fish, feeding the fish, and even just sitting outside and listening to the water flow on a nice evening. Along with having a pond put in, you can also have a concrete walkway laid through the yard that allows you to take short walks around the pond, which creates your own special atmosphere when you want to enjoy nature without leaving your property.
